Deb Miller has been an electrical engineer, a software developer, a high-tech executive and an entrepreneur. What does any of that have to do with writing stories and novels? Truthfully, not much, except that life experiences affect the words that come out of a writer’s fingertips. Before those experiences, Nancy Drew, Jane Austen, J.R.R. Tolkien and a host of other writers influenced Deb’s imagination.
Deb writes across many genres, including mystery, historical fiction, mainstream fiction, romance, science fiction and fantasy. Her stories often feature older protagonists or strong women. Whether her characters are old or young, female or male, she finds one of the most interesting parts of writing are the surprises that her characters toss at her.
Deb grew up in a small town in Kansas. When she’s not writing, she’s usually trying to keep up with her husband on runs, bike rides or hikes in the beautiful outdoors of Boulder, Colorado.
